Fit or Fugly

Fit or Fugly was born because of two women who walked in at a local pub and decided to stand right in-front of me. Being curious I had a quick look to see what they were like and made a quick assumption to my father who was sitting beside me. Me being me (very rude) named one of them ‘Fit’ and the other one ‘Fugly’ and things started to catch on from then. For weeks after that night when I was with friends and family we were always making remarks on people everywhere we went. For this reason, out of curiosity, Fit or Fugly was born. I believe (even if some people won’t admit it), just because we are human and we like to know everything, that everyone wants to find out who are the best looking and least attractive people in the world.

After six months of development the Fit or Fugly application was finally launched into the App Store. The weekend it was launched was a quiet one as I wrote to many different news and media websites hoping they would pick up my story! Luckily for me by Monday, they had picked it up and suddenly the traffic started booming. It only took mid week to reach the global top 50 and by the end of that week it reached number 7 in the App Store.

Since the huge global success of the Application I decided to continue the legacy it had quickly already made and develop a new version for it a long with a website.

The website combined with the application gives users the ability to scientifically calculate how attractive you are based on Fibonnaci's golden ratio which uses symmetries via key anchor points on a human face which is the eyes, ears, chin, mouth and nose.

After you have survived the grueling test of the calculation you can upload your face to the site to get voted worldwide. You can sort the gallery by the fittest, fugliest and most rated people in order which means you can quickly find out where you are in the world.

You don’t need an application to use Fit or Fugly, you can upload directly from the site to compete and get a ranking. However rather then based on science this will be on public vote (so make sure it is a good picture)!

So, either boost your confidence by discovering you are truly fit, or if the news is bad and you are fugly you can make the necessary changes to you appearance and lifestyle which may improve your attractiveness!

There are no limits to the use of Fit or Fugly as it is equally effective on human faces irrespective of ethnicity, age or race. It has even been known to work on pets.
